Jamie Foxx Speaks Out For The First Time On His Medical Scare

Jamie Foxx is speaking out for the first time following his medical scare. 

The 55-year-old Hollywood star took to social media to address what happened to him, and debunk rumors about his ordeal and his health. He also expressed his gratitude to his loved ones who were there by his side all throughout. 

In a new Instagram Reels video, Jamie began by thanking friends and fans for reaching out. He admitted:

“I can not even tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back.”

Though he did not mention specifically what the medical scare was, he did say:

“[I] went through something I never thought I would go through.”

He continued:

“A lot of people were waiting for updates but to be honest, I didn’t want you to see me like that… I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.”

Jame took the opportunity to give credit to his sister and daughters:

“[They] saved my life. They kept it air tight, and didn’t let anything out and protected me. I hope that’s what everyone could have in moments like these.”

He also debunked rumors regarding what happened to him, including that he was blind (“eyes are working just fine”) and that has was paralyzed. He stated:

“I went through hell and back and my road to recovery had some potholes as well. I am coming back and was able to work.”

He again expressed his gratitude for all the support, tearing up as he said:

“I love all the love that I got… 

If you see me out and every once in a while I burst into tears, it’s been tough. I was sick, and now I have my legs under me.”
