Among the brides who’s had to suddenly change plans for their big day is Jennifer Lopez whose wedding to Alex Rodriguez has been delayed because of the coronavirus outbreak – and she says she’s “a little heartbroken” at the postponement.

JLo appeared on Tuesday’s (May 26) the Today show where she confirmed that their upcoming nuptials has been postponed indefinitely.

“I’m a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans, but I’m also like, you know what? God has a bigger plan,” she told host Hoda Kotb. “So we just have to wait and see. Maybe it’s going to be better. I have to believe that it will be.”

They haven’t exactly spilled the tea on their plans for the big day – there’s been speculations that it was supposed to going to be a destination wedding going down this summer. One thing we do know is that her 12-year-old little man Max will “of course” walk her down the aisle – which she previously revealed to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Hustlers in September.

As for when they will tie the knot, she admits that the wedding planning has been put on hold amid these uncertain times.

“There’s no planning right now. You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out,” she said. “It’s disappointing on one level. After the Super Bowl and after World of Dance, after we finished filming it, I planned to take time off, which is what we’re doing kind of right now.”

“But at the same time, we had a lot of plans for this summer and this year,” she continued. “But everything’s kind of on hold right now.”

JLo and A-Rod got engaged in March of last year. The couple are quarantining together with their respective children – JLo’s twins, Max and Emme, and A-Rod’s daughters Natasha and Ella – in A-Rod’s Miami digs.
