Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are teaming up for a good cause.

The long-time friends are no strangers to collaborating – they previously teamed up for “What Do You Mean (Remix)” in 2015, were both featured on Lil Dicky’s “Earth” song along with Leonardo di Caprio and several other music artists, and Justin made a surprise appearance during Ari’s Coachella set in 2019 – but this is their first-ever original duet.

The singers announced their new joint single “Stuck With U” on social media on Friday (May 1).

“Very excited because we have finally done it. I’m releasing a new song #StuckwithU with my friend @ArianaGrande,” Justin wrote on Instagram, alongside the single’s artwork.

“Grateful to announce that my friend and i have partnered with @1strcf and @sb_projects on this release,” Ari wrote, in part, on her post.

The single, which will drop on Friday (May 8), will benefit the children of first responders – including health care workers, EMTs, paramedics, police officers and firefighters on the front lines – who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, with all net proceeds going toward funding grants and scholarships through a partnership with First Responders Children’s Foundation and Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.

“We wanted to show our gratitude to the men and women on the front lines who work tirelessly for our health and safety during this crisis. They are the everyday heroes and now more than ever they and their families deserve our support,” Justin and Aris’ longtime manager and SB Projects founder Scooter Braun said in a press release.

“I’m grateful to Justin, Ariana, Def Jam and Republic Records, Universal Music Group, our amazing SB Projects team, our digital streaming partners and all those involved in making this happen. We all look forward to continuing our tradition of charitable releases over the next year.”

The two pop stars also released statements of their own.

“We’re very excited about this for so many reasons. We hope we make a big difference with this and we hope it uplifts you and makes you feel happy and that you love it as much as we do. We’ve had a really great time working on this and we’re so excited for you to hear it,” Ari said in the press release.

“More than ever we are seeing the selfless, tireless and amazing work that doctors, nurses and healthcare providers give to the world every day,” Justin added. “It is our hope we can lend our voices to raise awareness and give much-needed support for them and their families. It’s my honor to come together with my friend Ariana and our SB Projects family to try and do some good.”

They also shared an instrumental to the song and urged fans to tweet videos of themselves dancing to the track. They’ve begun sharing the fan videos on social media, and will end up as a part of the music video for the track when it’s released.
