Justin and Hailey Bieber might be growing their family soon.

The 27-year-old popstar has been open about wanting to be a dad someday, and it’s looking like there could now be a timeline for their plans.

According to The Sun, who saw a trailer for the “Baby” singer’s upcoming documentary film, Justin Bieber: Our World, Justin has opened the discussion of having kids with fie Hailey. On camera.

In the trailer, Hailey asked her husband for his plans in 2021. His response? “To continue to set goals and have fun doing them, make sure I put family first. And hopefully we will squish out a nugget,” which made Hailey smile.

He then asked her, “At the end of 2021 how about we start trying?”

Justin and Hailey tied the knot in a New York City courthouse in September of 2018, and said “I do” again in front of friends and family a year later.

While they’re both looking forward to starting a family of their own, the couple have previously said they are in no rush. However, the topic of kids has repeatedly come up in interviews and their social media posts over the years.

“I love kids, and I can’t wait to have my own,” she told Vogue Arabia in November 2018. “I would say that now that’s a closer reality.”

He mentioned in it on Instagram as far back as 2019.

“Love dates with you baby..,” he wrote alongside a photo of him and his wife at Disney World, Florida at the time. “one day Ill be doing daddy daughter dates….. not hinting at anything soon I’m not in a rush. I just wanna enjoy you by yourself for a while! [sic].”

He also opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about how many kids they want to have on a couple of occasions.

“I think it’s up to Hailey because it’s her body,” he said during a March 2020 appearance on Ellen.

“I’m going to have as many as Hailey is wishing to push out,’ the 27-year-old singer reiterated when he returned to the talk show in December. ‘I’d love a little tribe but it’s her body and whatever she wants to do.”

When asked what they were waiting for before having kids, Justin explained, “There’s not really an issue but I think Hailey still has some things she wants to accomplish as a woman and I think she just is not ready yet and I think that’s ok.”

Amid all the discussions about the couple starting a family, Hailey has had to shut down pregnancy speculations numerous times in the past.

In Thanksgiving 2019, rumors began swirling that the 24-year-old model was pregnant after a paparazzi photo of her with her hand on her stomach made headlines.

“The internet is funny! No, I’m not pregnant. I just really love food,” she wrote on Instagram Story at the time.

In November of last year, amid the US presidential elections, she called out a tabloid that she claimed was about to publish a report that suggests she’s pregnant.

“I’m not pregnant so please stop writing stories from your ‘sources’ and focus on what’s important, aka the election,” she wrote on her IG Story.

In July, Justin shared a black-and-white photo of him and wife Hailey captioned “mom and dad” on Instagram, which caused fans to speculate there might be a baby Bieber on the way. Hailey soon cleared up the speculations in the comments section.

“I think u should maybe change this caption to *Dog Mom and Dad* before anyone gets it twisted,” she wrote on her husband’s post, along with a laughing emoji face.

Even their appearance at last month’s Met Gala became a source of speculation after Justin posed on the red carpet with hands on Hailey’s flat stomach – TMZ has since shut the rumors down.

Still unclear on how Hailey answered Justin’s question on trying for baby (was the smile answer enough?). Will they be expecting a new addition by next year? Only time will tell.
