Katie Holmes turned 42 on Friday (December 18), and Emilio Vitolo Jr. celebrated his girlfriend with an uber sweet post on social media on her special day.
“The most amazing ,kindest, beautiful person ❤️. Every time I see your face it makes me smile . Happy Birthday !!! I love you !!” Emilio captioned a candid black and white pic of them – Katie sitting on his lap, and both of them all-smiles at each other.

Then, Katie responded right back, writing, “Thank you so much my Love❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love u too!!!!!” AND reposted the photo on her Instagram Story.

Okay, so they’ve actually been dating for months – they were first spotted together in September. And they haven’t exactly been shy about packing on the PDA around New York City. But despite all the sightings and the lovey-dovey pictures of the couple, it’s not until Emilio’s recent birthday tribute for Katie that the two publicly addressed their romance.
According to sources, Emilio and Katie are super into each other.
“Emilio and Katie act like young teens in love when they are together,” one source told Us Weekly. “Emilio lights up when she enters his restaurant and they kiss and hug like they haven’t seen each other in forever, but really, they see each other almost every day.”
“Emilio is into Katie. Whenever he’s asked about her, he blushes and smiles. They are always laughing when they’re together,” the source continued. “It’s constant smiles and loving looks between them, and Emilio’s friends more than approve of Katie. They think she’s so great for him.”
Plus, the slower pace of life during quarantine has allowed them to focus on each other.
“Katie wasn’t working or traveling as much as usual and things were slower at the restaurant for Emilio, so it really gave them the opportunity to focus on each other. Instead of a few dates over an extended period of time, they were able to have a month’s worth of dates in a matter of days,” another source shared with Entertainment Tonight.
Emilio has also met Katie’s daughter Suri, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise – they even “spent Saturday morning together before Katie and Suri departed for their getaway upstate” for Thanksgiving.
However, the mom-of-one still makes sure that they still get to enjoy a lot of mom-and-daughter time together.
“Katie and Emilio have been inseparable since they officially became a couple,” the source said. “He adores Suri and they get along great, but Katie has always been really good about ensuring she and Suri continue to have a lot of quality time just the two of them.”
