Kim Kardashian is moving on in a big way.
The Keeping Up With Kardashians star has reportedly made a significant purchase amid her divorce proceedings from Kanye West. She is said be buying her ex-husband out of their family home.
Kim, 40, has been reported to have purchased the Los Angeles home from Kanye. According to news outlets, Kim acquired the house as well as “all finishings. Furniture, fixtures, appliances’ collectibles, silver and art currently located in air residence.”
She bought Kanye out of the property for the sum of $23 million. The property itself costs $20 million, while the remaining $3 million covers all of the contents of their former home.
Kim and Kanye bought the Hidden Hills, California home back in 2014. The two then spent over six years rebuilding and redesigning the abode from the ground up. It was Kanye who spearheaded the overall design of the mansion, which places the spotlight on purity and minimalism. Following renovations, the residence’s market value reportedly skyrocketed to $60 million.
Kim gave a peek into the family home back in a segment for Vogue in 2019, showing the spacious interiors and minimalist decor in varying shades of taupe and beige. The mansion has TVs built into the floor and bathroom sinks boasting of an abstract design. The abode is very reminiscent of Kanye’s minimal designs seen in his Yeezy sneaker line and clothing.
The two bought the property shortly after their May 2014 wedding in Italy.
The official court ruling for this property follows after Kanye put his first of two Wyoming ranches on the market in October 11. Kim has confirmed that Kanye moving to the nearly-4,000 acre ranch and the second ranch he subsequently bought contributed to their separation. A source revealed back then to Page Six:
“Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done.”
Back in March 2021, TMZ revealed that Kim would be staying in the Hidden Hills abode with their kids following their split.
Earlier this month, Kim shared an insult that daughter North throws at her when they have an argument. She said this about her 8-year-old:
“Every time I get into some king of disagreement with my daughter North, she thinks this is a dig to me: She’ll say, ‘Your house is so ugly, it’s all white! Who lives like this?
She just thinks it, like, gets to me, and it is kind of mean because I like my house.”
Kim and Kanye share North plus three other kids – Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2.
