Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are engaged!
The couple took their relationship to the next level on Sunday (October 17) in a romantic beachside proposal in Montecito, California. Travis set the mood with elaborate arrangements of red roses and white candles assembled on the sand in the shape of a heart and popped the question at sunset.
“Travis proposed to Kourtney and she said yes,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.
The Poosh founder herself shared the happy news posting photos from the romantic moment on Instagram, which she simply captioned “forever” and tagged her beau.
Kourtney and Travis were friends and neighbors for years before striking up a romance in January and going Instagram official in February. They’ve since embarked on a whirlwind of PDA-filled trips together and even life-altering ones, like Kourtney helping Travis overcome his fear of flying after surviving a 2008 plane crash. They’ve also made their declarations of love permanent in ink.
Kourtney is mom to three children – 11-year-old Mason, eight-year-old Penelope, and six-year-old Reign – whom she shares with ex Scott Disick; Travis is dad to two children with ex-wife Shanna Moakler – 17-year-old Landon and 15-year-old Alabama. The couple have been seen on multiple outings bonding with each others’ kids – including a family trip with their respective children to Disneyland earlier this year. And things have only gotten more serious from there.
Another ET source shared the special significance of the proposal venue for the couple.
“The proposal took place on the beach at the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel, where Kourtney and Travis have spent a lot of time together, and is considered to be a very special and sacred place to them,” the source says.
Members of their family were present for the big moment – including Kourtney’s sisters Kim and Khloe, and mom Kris Jenner. Tristan Thompson and Corey Gamble were also reportedly there.
Travis’ daughter shared a photo of the newly-engaged couple during their celebratory dinner, which featured a menu of pear salad, burrata and persimmon salad, honeynut squash vellutata, butter sage pasta, lobster, and plant-based cacio e pepe.
“So happy for you guys. I love u both!” Alabama wrote alongside a photo of Travis kissing Kourtney’s cheek – she was smiling from ear to ear, with her new bling, which featured a massive oval diamond, fully on display.
Kim also shared a video of the couple looking all-loved up as they shared a kiss at the dinner, which she captioned, “KRAVIS FOREVER 💍”
