Liam Payne is putting the home he previously shared with ex Cheryl Tweedy on the market.
The One Direction alum has owned the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom Georgian-style mansion in Surrey, England since 2015 – and he’s looking to sell it for $8.9 Million!
He previously lived there with Cheryl and their son Bear, whom they welcomed in 2017. A year after the birth of their baby boy, however, the couple announced their split and she’s since moved into her home in Buckinghamshire with their son. Both continue to co-parent their child.
Sitting on a 2.9-acre lot, the property boasts a total of 9,170 square feet of living space, comprising of the main house and a separate one-bedroom/one-bath cottage which can be used as a guest or staff house.
Aside from having massive reception rooms and a sleek, modern kitchen, the home also includes a host of luxe amenities – including a plush home theater, a gym with a hot yoga room, and a games room with a snooker table and pinball machines. The master suite comes with custom-fitted dressing room and an en suite with its own skylights!
The sprawling compound sits on the edge of a golf course and also boasts plenty of greenery of its own – from the large trees surrounding the property to the manicured gardens and grassy yard out back. There’s also plenty of outdoor recreation to be had with a swimming pool and a turf tennis court/soccer pitch.
For a time, Liam listed it as an £8,000 (approx. $11,000)/week rental, but it appears the singer could be looking for a fresh start on the real-estate front. Earlier this year, he sold his 10,000 square foot Calabasas home to Halsey for $10.2 Million; and he stands to make a cool $2.1 Million on his Surrey home (he bought it for $6.8 Million in 2015).
The mansion popped up on the market weeks after he reportedly rekindled his relationship with Maya Henry. The two began sparking dating speculations in 2018, following his split from Cheryl, before going public with their relationship in 2019. In 2020, Liam proposed with a $3 Million engagement ring, but called it quits less than a year later.
“I’m just not very good at them so I just need to work on myself before I put myself on to somebody else,” Liam opened up about the split. “And I feel like that’s where I got to in my last relationship. I just wasn’t giving a very good version of me anymore, that I didn’t appreciate and I didn’t like being.”
However, just a couple of months since their split, they were spotted out together again seemingly with their romance back on track – they even attended a yacht party in St. Tropez, but Maya was noticeably NOT sporting her engagement bling.
Although the couple appears to be back together, a source says they’re in no hurry to walk down the aisle. “They are living together in England but aren’t putting pressure on the wedding or engagement yet,” the source told E! News.
