Lisa Rinna is dishing the deets on one of this year’s most talked about splits.
The 58-year-old star spilled the tea on her daughter Amelia Hamlin’s break up with Scott Disick. Amelia, 20, and Scott, 38, were first linked back in October 2020, two months after Scott ended his relationship with girlfriend of almost three years, Sofia Richie.
Amelia and Scott’s split was confirmed in September 2021, following Scott’s social media scandal involving his ex, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kourtney’s ex, Younes Bendjima.
Now, Lisa is shedding light on their breakup. During part two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, host Andy Cohen asked if she pushed for Amelia to end things with Scott. Here’s what Lisa said:
“She made the decision on her own.”
Andy also brought up the social media scandal, to which Lisa stated:
“Well, I don’t think that was helpful. There’s never one reason why I think people split up, you know.
Now’s the time to heal, now’s the time for everyone to heal.”
Earlier this week, Amelia seemed to subtly support Kourtney after Kourtney’s engagement to Travis Barker was announced. Eagle-eyed fans spotted Amelia liking Khloe Kardashian’s post congratulating the two!
And how has Scott been since Kourtney got engaged? Well, a source disclosed this to People:
“Scott hasn’t really wanted to deal with Travis and Kourtney because he didn’t feel like he’d have to. At first, it seemed like it was just a casual relationship to him, nothing serious. So he pretty much put that on mute. Hasn’t been giving it too much brainpower, thinking that eventually, they’d break up.
But that didn’t happen and now he’s being forced to deal with it, which is uncomfortable. He knows he has to lean into the discomfort and get past it. He understands that it’s not Kourtney‘s job or Travis‘s job to make him okay with this. It’s his job, and if he’s going to co-parent with Kourtney, which he has been, he has to process this and make his peace with it.”
The source also had something to say about Scott distancing himself from the Kardashian clan:
“It’s not about them, it’s not about Kourtney. It’s about him needing some time to process this and deal with it on his own, without them. He’ll come around soon.”
