Madonna is firmly in Britney Spears’ corner amid her ongoing conservatorship battle.

The music icon went on Instagram Story on Thursday (July 8) to share a photo of herself wearing a Britney Spears t-shirt.

She also wrote a fiery message to go with it.

“Give this woman her life back,” Madonna, began. “Slavery was abolished long ago! Death to the greedy patriarchy that has been doing this to women for centuries.”

She went on to call Britney’s conservatorship “a violation of human rights!” adding, “Britney, we coming to get you out of jail!”

Madonna and Britney worked together on the 2003 track “Me Against the Music” and also performed together, along with Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliot, at the MTV Video Music Awards that same year.

The “Toxic” singer has been receiving a lot of support from fellow music artists following her explosive testimony in court on June 23. Stars like Iggy Azalea, Halsey, Christina Aguilera, Cher and her ex Justin Timberlake have all taken to social media to send messages of love and support Britney’s way.

During her testimony, Britney called her conservatorship “abusive” and alleged that the people involved in her conservatorship, including her father Jamie Spears, “played a huge role in punishing me.”

She also made it clear that she wanted her conservatorship to end, but does not want to be evaluated again.

“I want changes, I deserve changes. I was told I have to be sat down and evaluated again,” she said, in part, during her 24-minute long testimony. Addressing Judge Brenda Penny, the judge presiding over her case, directly, she told her, “Ma’am, I didn’t know I could petition the conservatorship to end. I honestly didn’t know that.”

Her father has since issued a statement addressing the court via his attorney Vivian Lee Thoreen, saying, “[Jamie] is sorry to see his daughter in so much pain. [He] loves his daughter and misses her very much.”

Last week, Britney’s court-appointed lawyer Sam Ingham and her long-time manager Larry Rudolph both resigned from their posts.

On Wednesday (July 7), Britney’s mom, Lynne Spears filed a petition for her daughter to be able to hire her own lawyer. “Clearly [Britney] needs private counsel to advise her as to her basic rights in this conservatorship,” she wrote in the petition.

Meanwhile, the conservator of Britney’s person, Jodi Montgomery, has said that she “remains committed” to support the 39-year-old popstar. She also filed a petition to the court as Britney’s guardian to appoint a third party “for the limited purpose of assisting her in the selection of private counsel to represent her in these pending conservatorship proceedings.” Included in the documents were screenshots of messages from Britney under the name “Jane Doe,” which read, “I need u to stay as my co conservator of person. I’m asking u for ur assistance in getting a new attorney.”
