Millie Bobby Brown is getting married!
The 19-year-old Stranger Things star has shared that she is engaged to her boyfriend Jake Bongiovi.
Millie took to social media to share the big news on April 11 (Tuesday). She subtly revealed that her beau, Jon Bon Jovi’s 20-year-old son, popped the question by debuting a diamond ring on that finger on her left hand in a gorgeous black and white photo of the couple. The photo seems to have been taken after Jake’s proposal.
In the photo, Jake’s arms are wrapped around Millie. Her hand are resting on his arms, putting the ring in full display. She captioned the photo with lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “Lover,” writing:
“I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all.”
Millie and Jake began dating back in June 2021. The pair have always been open about their love for each other, sharing many special moments together on Instagram. They made their official red-carpet debut as a couple at the 2022 BAFTAs.
Prior to their engagement, outlets reported that Jake’s whole family, including dad Jon and mom Dorothea Hurley, totally approve of Millie and of their relationship. A source revealed at the time:
“A lot of people believe that Jake and Millie are just experiencing young puppy love and that it won’t last, but Jake’s parents know that it can last because they were the same ages as Jake and Millie when they started dating in 1989 – and they have been together ever since.
Millie has met Jake’s entire family and they all adore her. They couldn’t be happier that he is with such a beautiful, caring, and loving woman.”
