By now, it’s probably no secret that production for Thor 4, a.k.a. Thor: Love And Thunder, is well underway – earlier this year, stars were spotted arriving in Australia where the movie is filming. Even Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, confirmed in January that he was about to start working on the movie.

Another star confirmed to be in the film is Natalie Portman, who will be reprising her role as Jane Foster – and taking on the mantle of Lady Thor.

Based on past interviews with actors who’ve played MCU superheroes, preparing for their action-heavy roles is no joke – we’re talking hours of physical training, strict diet and stuff. Natalie herself admitted it was one of the biggest challenges she faced.

“I’m trying. I’ve also had months of pandemic eating baked goods and lying in bed and feeling sorry for myself, so I’m super tired after working out and during and dreading before it,” she told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show back in October.

Still, she did the work – and, by the looks of it, is still continuing to do so.

So, when a paparazzi photo of her wearing a blue tank top and gray leggings seemingly about to go on a run made the headlines last week, alleging, “Natalie Portman steps out seemingly with a baby bump in Sydney,” it’s totally understandable why Natalie felt the need to set the record straight.

Sharing a screenshot of the headline on her Instagram Story, she wrote, “Hey. So I’m totally not pregnant…” and called out the article, adding, “But apparently it’s still OK in 2021 for anyone to speculate and comment on a woman’s body shape whenever they want? Do better.”

Natalie had previously shared how excited she was to work on the movie.

“I’m playing the Mighty Thor,” she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “There were some of the graphic novels where Jane Foster becomes Thor. It’s going to be really silly and funny and great. We’ve got [director] Taika Waititi. He’s wonderful, so I’m very excited.”

The actress is mom to two kids, who she shares with hubby Benjamin Millipied.

Back in 2016, she opened up about balancing being a mom and a working actress in an interview with The New York Times Magazine.

“When I’m not working, I’m pretty much exclusively with my family, so my rituals have to do with school, meal preparation, playdates, bedtime,” she said. “Weekends are the best for ritual, because I own them completely. I do the whole week’s laundry, which I love, because it’s a task with a clear beginning and end. And we spend the week together as a family—usually somewhere in nature, often with friends who have children.”
