There’s no love lost between Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow!
The superstars dated in the 1990s for three years and were the ultimate Hollywood It Couple back in the day. They even got engaged before breaking up in 1997.
Now, more than two decades later, the exes sat down for an interview together – and as they reconnected on their interview for Goop, the two adorably showed that there is still a lot of affection between them.
The ex-couple touched on a lot of things in their conversation, even talking about their previous relationship. At one point, Gwyneth asked Brad about her dad, the late Bruce Paltrow. She said to Brad:
“Why did you love him, even though we didn’t get married, unfortunately.”
Brad good-naturedly laughed and stated:
“Yeah, right. Oh, man, everything works out, doesn’t it?”
Gwyneth sweetly replied:
“Yes, it does. I finally found the Brad I was supposed to marry. It just took me 20 years.”
Brad then spoke these heartfelt words to Gwyneth:
“And it’s lovely to have you as a friend now… And I do love you.”
To which Gwyneth sincerely responded with:
“I love you so much.”
