Chase Stokes isn’t here for the online drama. The Outer Banks star recently called out fans who were stirring negativity in the comment section of Kelsea Ballerini’s latest TikTok.
The 32-year-old country singer posted a video on Monday, November 17, promoting her new song “People Pleaser” from her album Mount Pleasant. In the clip, Kelsea looks radiant in a red dress with bold lipstick as she sings along to the track. But fans quickly turned the comment section into a frenzy, tagging both Chase, 33, and his ex-girlfriend and Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline.
Chase wasn’t having it. “These comments are f–king weird,” he wrote. “Grow up.”
His response sparked even more conversation online, with fans debating why he felt the need to step in. Some pointed out that certain Outer Banks fans had been posting old photos of Chase and Madelyn, encouraging others to speculate about the song. “OBX fans were posting nonsense and Chase called them out, so they deleted it,” one person noted.
Others chimed in, referencing the ongoing speculation around Kelsea’s track “Emerald City”, which includes lyrics about jealousy toward another woman described as “pretty” and someone who “got around.” Many listeners believe the song is about Madelyn, who dated Chase from 2019 to 2020.
“So now it’s okay for Kelsea to be calling Madelyn a red flag?” one fan wrote. “I’m sure Madelyn is pissed at both Chase and Kelsea. Idiots.”
The timing is interesting, as Chase and Kelsea officially split in September after nearly three years together. But reconciliation rumors have been swirling after the pair were recently spotted holding hands in Croatia, reigniting curiosity about their relationship.
Through it all, Chase’s message is clear: enough with the online negativity. While fans love to speculate, the actor’s response is a reminder that social media drama isn’t worth the emotional toll—and that sometimes, it’s better to just mind your own business.
