David Harbour’s ex-girlfriend, actress and musician Alison Sudol, recently caught fans’ attention after reacting to Lily Allen’s new album West End Girl — and given the history, the timing didn’t go unnoticed.
If you need a refresher: the Stranger Things actor, 50, and the Fantastic Beasts star, 40, dated between 2018 and 2019 before calling it quits. A short time later, Harbour began dating singer Lily Allen. The two tied the knot in September 2020 but split in December 2024.
Lily, 40, recently took to Instagram to promote West End Girl, which she’s described as one of her most personal projects yet. The album, inspired by her breakup with Harbour, doesn’t hold back — lyrically hinting at heartbreak, healing, and even infidelity.
And then came Alison’s reaction.
In the comment section of Lily’s post, the A Fine Frenzy singer dropped a series of fire emojis — “🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥” — a move fans quickly picked up on.
Was it support? Subtle shade? Or a bit of both? The internet couldn’t decide, but one thing was clear: the women at the center of David Harbour’s past and present both had a lot to say — one through music, the other through emoji.
As for Harbour, he’s stayed quiet amid the speculation, focusing instead on work and the upcoming Stranger Things finale, which will close out the hit series later next year.
In true pop culture fashion, though, fans are already connecting the dots — and wondering if West End Girl might just become the breakup album of the year.
