Dove Cameron is remembering a very special person to her who has sadly gone too soon.
On Saturday (May 28), the 26-year-old actress and singer honored her late friend Cameron Boyce on what would have been his 23rd birthday. Taking to Instagram, Dove sweetly wrote:
“Somewhere unnamed , these moments are all still occurring for the first time, for the millionth time, in real time and all at once, just as real as i remember them ‘then’. you are here, still. we feel you, still. i will love you, unchangingly, just like this. happy birthday.”
She accompanied her touching message with a video of herself reaching out for Cameron’s hand as they sat next to each other on a panel.
Dove’s post likewise included what seems to be a note handwritten by Cameron which stated:
“Maybe heaven is a jazz club.”
Cameron passed away in his sleep back in July 2019 at the age of 20. His cause of death was epileptic seizure, an ongoing medical condition he had which he had been having treated.
Dove and Cameron co-starred together in Disney’ Descendants movie series.
