Nothing stops the show when it comes to Yungblud. The 29-year-old English rocker, born Dominic Harrison, has reassured fans that a painful leg injury won’t keep him off the stage as he continues his massive Idols World Tour.
The incident occurred earlier this month just hours before Harrison was set to take the stage at the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Addressing the crowd from the stage on August 9, the rocker revealed to fans that he had suffered a dirt bike crash only two hours prior to showtime.
Never one to let physical pain dampen his spirit, Harrison brought his signature humor and unyielding rock energy directly to the mic during the set, which was captured in a fan-shot TikTok that quickly went viral online:
“I’m not gonna be able to hop around and f–king shake my ass like I normally do,” Yungblud told the crowd, before picking up a bottle of alcohol and taking a drink. “However, I’m gonna keep drinking this Jack.”
A week after pushing through the South Dakota show—which marked the final date on the North American leg of his tour—the Grammy winner took to Instagram on Sunday, August 16 to update his global audience. Sharing a photo of his heavily bandaged leg, Harrison made it crystal clear that cancellation was entirely off the table:
“Leg f–ked. Still giggin. Still standin (sort of),” he wrote to his millions of followers. “Portugal and Belgium I’m comin and it’s gonna be f–king mad. See you next week. Let’s ride.”
The commitment to his fanbase comes after a tough period last year when the musician was forced to cancel select performance dates under strict medical orders. Harrison next commanded the stage at the Vilar de Mouros Festival in Portugal on Tuesday, before heading straight to Belgium’s Pukkelpop Festival, proving that his rebellious stage energy remains completely unbroken.
