Hailey Bieber is done with the drama — and she’s making that loud and clear.
In a new interview with WSJ. Magazine, the 28-year-old Rhode Beauty founder opened up about those never-ending feud rumors involving Selena Gomez. Fans have been pitting the two women against each other for years because of their shared connection to Justin Bieber — Selena’s ex, and Hailey’s now-husband.
“It’s always annoying being pitted against other people,” Hailey told the magazine. “I didn’t ask for that.”
She added, “When people want to see you a certain way and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that.”
When asked about the fact that both of their beauty brands are sold in some of the same stores, Hailey’s response was calm, confident, and classy: “I think there is space for everybody… I don’t feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by.”
Cue the internet breaking.
Shortly after the interview dropped, Selena Gomez seemed to subtly respond — and then not-so-subtly confirm it — with a now-deleted Instagram Story that’s still live on her Facebook page.
Selena wrote: “Just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants. Doesn’t affect my life whatsoever. It’s just about relevance not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me. There is room for everyone. And hopefully we can all stop.”
Fans quickly interpreted Selena’s message as an olive branch — or at least a firm line in the sand that she’s officially done with the fan wars.
For two women who’ve both been outspoken about kindness and mental health, it seems they’re finally on the same page: there’s room for everyone to shine.
In the end, both Hailey and Selena are proving that peace — not pettiness — is the real power move.
