David Harbour is opening up about his on-screen physical transformation.
If you’ve watched season four of Stranger Things, you may have noticed how David changed physically. His character, Jim Hopper, spent the majority of the season in a prison camp in Russia.
Now, the actor is speaking out about the transformation he underwent to portray a famished and tortured Hopper in the recently-released two-part installment.
In an interview with British GQ, David revealed:
“I lost about 80 pounds from season three – I was about 270 [then] and when we shot [season 4] I was around 190.”
He went on to reveal that he lost the weight by doing intermittent fasting and taking up pilates. He shed the pounds in a span of 8 months. But he also declared:
“I don’t think I’ll ever do that again.”
