Hilary Duff is officially making her long-awaited return to music, and fans couldn’t be more excited.

The “Come Clean” singer has signed with Atlantic Records, marking her first record deal in a decade. The announcement comes 10 years after her last studio album, Breathe In. Breathe Out., which dropped in 2015.

Along with the music news, Atlantic also confirmed that a brand-new docuseries is on the way, giving fans a close-up look at Hilary’s journey back into the spotlight. According to the label, the intimate project will “chronicle Duff’s long-awaited musical return and personal journey, offering an unfiltered vignette into Hilary’s world. Embracing the ups, downs, and everything in between, fans will ride shotgun as she balances raising a family, recording new music, live show rehearsals, and preparing to perform on stage for the first time in over a decade.”

The docuseries is set to be directed by Sam Wrench, the filmmaker behind Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which promises a cinematic approach to Hilary’s comeback. It will blend vérité-style behind-the-scenes moments with stylized interviews, live performances, and even rare clips from her personal archives.

The actress and singer hinted at the big news with new photos from inside the recording studio, posting on Instagram with the playful caption: “new music … or something 🪩✨🍒.”

This isn’t the only project on Hilary’s plate. Alongside music, she’s also lined up a brand-new television role, further solidifying that she’s stepping into a busy new chapter of her career.

Hilary has long been a pop culture staple, from her early days as the star of Lizzie McGuire to her steady work in TV, film, and music. Now, with a decade-long gap behind her, fans are eager to see what this new era will bring.

With a major label backing her, a documentary promising unprecedented access, and her own excitement shining through, Hilary’s return feels like the start of something big.
