Is Johnny Depp making a return to the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise?
Reports have been swirling that the actor is in talks to return as Jack Sparrow in the highly-successful film franchise on a $301M deal. This news comes at the heels of his court win in the defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard.
But Johnny’s camp is shutting those rumors down.
A rep for the 59-year-old actor released a statement, simply saying:
“This is made up.”
His rep called the report of his return “false.”
In an interview published last month, producer Jerry Bruckheimer was asked about Johnny coming back to the franchise, to which he said that there are no plans for Johnny to star in the next installment of the saga:
“Not at this point. The future is yet to be decided.”
