Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley have reportedly gone their separate ways.

According to PEOPLE, the Grammy-winning producer and Bleachers frontman and the acclaimed actress have separated after nearly five years together and just weeks before what would have been their third wedding anniversary.

While neither Antonoff nor Qualley has publicly commented on the reports, multiple sources told the publication that the relationship has recently faced challenges.

One source described the marriage as “rocky,” while another said the couple is currently “figuring things out.”

Representatives for both stars have not responded to requests for comment.

News of the reported separation comes only days after Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration in New York City without Qualley by his side.

Instead, he was accompanied by his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff.

Although Qualley’s absence immediately drew attention among fans, neither she nor Antonoff publicly addressed it.

Both have also been immersed in demanding work schedules.

Antonoff is currently traveling across the country on Bleachers’ Forever Tour, while Qualley has been preparing for production on the upcoming horror film Possession.

The pair first sparked romance speculation in August 2021 after they were photographed sharing a kiss during an outing in Brooklyn.

At the time, both largely kept the relationship private.

They made their first official public appearance together several months later at the AFI Awards Luncheon in support of Qualley’s acclaimed Netflix series Maid.

In March 2022, they confirmed the relationship on Instagram before announcing their engagement that May.

Their August 2023 wedding quickly became one of entertainment’s most talked-about celebrations.

Held in New Jersey, the ceremony brought together an impressive guest list that included Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Zoë Kravitz, Cara Delevingne and Channing Tatum, among many others.

Throughout their relationship, both frequently spoke with affection about one another.

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show earlier this year, Antonoff recalled knowing almost immediately that Qualley was the person he wanted to marry.

“I saw her and it was like a f—ing Hallmark movie that doesn’t seem believable,” he said. “When I met her, I started imagining things that I’d never even imagined, like marriage.”

He later revealed that he proposed while the couple were living together in Paris.

Before asking the question, Antonoff reached out to Qualley’s sister, singer and actress Rainey Qualley, to ask for her blessing.

“I came back and I could tell that I looked crazy ‘cause she looked at me like something was wrong, and I think it’s because I had begun to sweat,” he recalled. “And all I do is joke, so when I become serious, I think it’s a bit arresting.”

Qualley also spoke openly about their relationship before they married.

During a 2023 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she described Antonoff as “my person.”

“I am so happy that I found my person. And it’s real. It’s amazing. It’s the best feeling in the world,” she said. “I’m so excited and so at ease all at once.”

She also reflected on how meeting Antonoff changed her perspective on building a home.

“Until about a month before I met Jack, I never had any furniture. I would always have these s—ty little apartments and move around from one place to another with a mattress on the floor and an Ikea lamp,” she shared. “I never made a home at all. I didn’t care; I cared about movies. I would use my sister’s basement in L.A. as a spot to keep my things. But I didn’t invest in that part of my life. It’s really exciting now to be making a home and to have something to care for.”

At the time, Qualley also spoke about their future together.

“I just want[ed] to do everything with Jack,” she said, while noting they were not rushing to start a family. “One day I want kids, and I’m not there yet, and I want to keep doing movies. And that’s about all I know.”

Antonoff later admitted he was unexpectedly emotional on their wedding day.

“Someone told me that when you die and when you get married is the only time everyone you love is in a room,” he said during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. “And I was like, ‘Oh that is just a thing someone says and I perform for a living so I don’t mind if the attention is on me.’ And then as soon as it started, my whole body became wet.”

He added, “I’m looking for jokes, but it was just really beautiful.”

Their relationship also inspired music.

Lana Del Rey’s 2023 song “Margaret,” featuring Bleachers, was written in honor of the couple.

Speaking about Antonoff’s marriage the following year, Del Rey said, “I’m grateful for [Antonoff], for his example that he gave me in his marriage to Margaret. I saw the way he looked at her when he met her and he’s a big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband.”

For now, reports suggest Antonoff and Qualley are navigating a difficult period privately. Until either chooses to comment publicly, the full picture remains known only to them.
