Joseph Quinn encountered a bit of a snag at U.S. immigration — but thankfully, it seems his Stranger Things role helped him out!
On Monday (July 25), Joseph revealed during an interview on The Tonight Show that he had been stopped by immigration security as he was trying to enter the U.S.
He told host Jimmy Fallon that he was detained in a “dungeon” and then questioned about
Why he was entering the country. He explained:
“It’s so nice to be here because I very nearly didn’t make it. I was held up at immigration yesterday.
I said, ‘I’m actually here to meet Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show’ and he didn’t believe me.
And one of his colleagues looked over at me, looked at him, said: ‘Leave Eddie alone.’”
Once the person talking to him realized that he was in fact Eddie Munson from Stranger Things, he just had one pivotal question for Joseph, which was:
“Do you come back next season?”
Joseph then went on to relay:
“I was like, ‘I don’t know.’
And he said, ‘You better’ – and gave me my passport!”
