Joshua Bassett is speaking out after fans expressed their concern following his recent baptism at a certain church.
The 22-year-old singer and actor has been very vocal and open about finding Jesus and religion. He was baptized over the weekend and shared the video from his baptism on social media.
After fans saw the video, they became concerned about his getting baptized at the particular church, particularly the said church’s policies and views.
Now, he is responding to the concerned messages.
Taking to Twitter on Monday (February 13), Joshua wrote:
“i visited this church and happened to get baptized here- i was unaware of some of their policies and beliefs, and do not endorse all of them.
my heart is for Christ and Christ alone!”
Among the policies that fans pointed out was the church apparently promoting conversion therapy on social media.
