On Wednesday, October 14, The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco took to Instagram to announce that she and fiancé Tom Pelphrey officially welcomed their second daughter into the world earlier in the week on Monday, October 12.
Along with a tender carousel of newborn photography—featuring a glowing family portrait with Pelphrey and intimate individual snuggles—Cuoco revealed her daughter’s classic, regal name: Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey. Naturally, the proud parents have already settled on an adorable shorthand moniker for their little girl: Philo.
Rooted in classical Greek origins, the name Philomena translates poetically to “lover of strength,” “loved one,” and “courageous lover”—qualities that fit right in with the family’s vibrant, energetic spirit.
Overflowing with emotion, Cuoco poured her heart out in the social media reveal:
“There are no words to describe this feeling once again. What a blessing,” Cuoco wrote. “We are so grateful for the crazy wild up and down journey that brought us to our little Philo! Family officially complete.”
The actress couldn’t help but add a lighthearted note regarding her three-year-old daughter, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, who was born back on March 30, 2023:
“Time to bring Matilda‘s baby home!” she added with a laugh.
Closing out her sweet announcement post, Cuoco turned her focus directly to her partner, marking how quickly their world transformed after meeting at the Ozark premiere back in April 2022 and subsequently getting engaged in August 2024.
