Global girl group KATSEYE is turning up the heat. The worldwide sensation formed through the hit reality series Dream Academy has officially dropped their highly anticipated new EP, WILD, via HYBE x Geffen Records, kicking off a bold new chapter defined by artistic independence and raw pop energy.
Moving away from the introspective themes of their debut era, WILD captures a distinctly freer, euphoric sound shaped by the group’s intense two years of global touring and creative evolution. The five-track project includes fan-favorite pre-release singles “PINKY UP” and “Animal,” alongside a target-exclusive physical track, “Unloveu,” which holds special significance as it was co-written and co-produced by member Lara Raj alongside hitmakers Amy Allen and Ross Golan.
To celebrate the launch, KATSEYE released the music video for the EP’s focus track, “Hootie Frutti.” Visually, the energetic clip serves as a homage to early-2000s pop royalty, drawing heavy aesthetic inspiration from Britney Spears’ iconic 2001 music video for “I’m a Slave 4 U.”
Simultaneously, the group launched their full-length concert documentary, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, in theaters worldwide. Designed as an intimate behind-the-scenes look at their meteoric rise, the film features unreleased backstage footage and candid interviews, serving as a dedicated love letter to the fans—affectionately known as EYEKONS—who have supported them from the beginning.
The milestone release arrives during a poignant transition for the group. Member Sophia Laforteza recently announced a temporary hiatus to focus on her mental health and well-being, marking the second member to step back for personal rest following Manon Bannerman’s temporary leave earlier this year. As KATSEYE moves forward with promotional rounds for WILD, remaining members Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae are carrying the momentum forward with pride, channeling their shared bond into every performance.
