KATSEYE is keeping its momentum going with another bold release.

The global girl group returned on Friday (July 24) with “Animal,” the latest single from its highly anticipated sophomore EP, Wild, giving fans another taste of what’s to come before the project arrives on August 14. Following the release of “Pinky Up” earlier this year, the new track leans into the group’s confident, high-energy sound while showcasing the charisma that has quickly made KATSEYE one of pop’s most closely watched new acts.

The release also comes with a memorable music video that features an unexpected Hollywood guest: Demi Moore.

Made up of Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza and Yoonchae, KATSEYE once again performs as a five-member group. Manon Bannerman remains on hiatus and does not appear on either the track or the accompanying video.

“Animal” boasts an impressive list of collaborators behind the scenes. The song was written by Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, Blake Slatkin and Omer Fedi, with Slatkin and Fedi also serving as producers. Together, they deliver a polished pop anthem that balances infectious hooks with the group’s signature attitude.

While the song itself is packed with energy, the music video offers plenty of standout moments of its own.

The biggest surprise arrives midway through the visual when Demi Moore makes an appearance in a scene that quickly shifts the mood from glamorous to delightfully comedic.

As the members frantically search through a closet trying to assemble the perfect look, Moore watches the fashion frenzy unfold from a nearby chair with the calm confidence of someone who’s seen it all before.

Lara eventually turns to the Oscar-nominated actress for approval and asks, “Do you like?”

Demi’s response is immediate.

“No.”

Moments later, she directs her attention to Megan, questioning another wardrobe choice with impeccable comedic timing.

“Is that the shoe? I don’t think so.”

From there, Moore continues critiquing outfit after outfit, becoming the video’s unexpectedly hilarious style authority as the members scramble to impress her.

The appearance also marks an unexpected milestone in Moore’s career. Although she’s no stranger to commanding the screen, “Animal” represents her first appearance in a music video in nearly three decades, following her memorable role in Jon Bon Jovi’s “Ugly.”

Over the years, Moore has become something of a fashion icon herself, regularly drawing attention with her red carpet appearances and front-row seats at major runway shows. Most recently, she attended Balenciaga’s fashion presentation in Paris alongside her daughter, Tallulah, continuing her longstanding relationship with the fashion world.

Her appearance in “Animal” also continues a trend for KATSEYE, whose music videos have increasingly featured recognizable Hollywood names.

Last year, Jessica Alba made a surprise appearance in the group’s “Gabriela” music video, helping establish a fun tradition of unexpected celebrity cameos that complement, rather than overshadow, the members themselves.

The release of “Animal” arrives during an especially busy period for the group.

In June, KATSEYE joined forces with fellow HYBE acts LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT for the collaborative single “Iconic by Mistake,” bringing together three of the company’s most exciting girl groups on one ambitious project.

Next month promises to be even bigger.

Not only will Wild finally arrive on August 14, but KATSEYE is also preparing for several major live appearances. Among them is Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival, an all-female event that has already generated significant excitement thanks to its star-studded lineup.

Shortly afterward, the group will embark on the Wildworld Tour, bringing their music to audiences across the United Kingdom, Europe and North America.
