Kelly Clarkson is seeking to make a big change in her life.
The 39-year-old singer and daytime talk show host is apparently working to legally change her name.
Multiple reports have revealed that Kelly has filed the required court documents to be able to request for a legal name change. It’s being reported that she has a “desire” to now go by Kelly Brianne.
In case you didn’t know, Kelly and Brianne are her first and middle names.
Us Weekly reported that in the documents, Kelly stated:
“My new name more fully reflects who I am.”
The documents were reportedly filed on Monday (February 14). A court date to hear and review the petition has been set for March 28. At this time, it is unclear as to what impact this legal name change will have on Kelly’s professional branding — including her successful talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
