Kim Kardashian is keeping it real about her legal ambitions—and her latest setback. On November 8, the 45-year-old reality star and All’s Fair actress revealed via Instagram Story that she did not pass the California Bar Exam in July.
“Well…I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a well-dressed one on TV,” Kim wrote.
She elaborated: “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination.”
Kim thanked supporters and framed the result as motivation rather than defeat. “Falling short isn’t failure – it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let’s Go!!!!!”
Kim has been studying law since 2018 via the Law Office Study Program, an alternative path to traditional law school. In 2021, she passed the “baby bar” after multiple attempts and completed her law program this past May.
She has also candidly admitted using ChatGPT for legal advice while studying, noting that it has sometimes led her astray on exams. Her honesty highlights the dedication and persistence required for anyone pursuing a non-traditional legal path.
Kim’s journey is a reminder that success often requires resilience—and that even celebrities face setbacks while chasing long-term goals.
