Law enforcement authorities responded to a security breach at Kim Kardashian’s Hidden Hills residence over the weekend, resulting in the arrest of a suspect on suspicion of burglary.
According to official details provided by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Koerner, authorities were dispatched to the property shortly before 4 p.m. PT on Sunday afternoon after receiving reports of suspicious activity on the grounds.
“A man was seen loading several items into a vehicle at the property.”
Sheriff’s Deputy Koerner confirmed that a man was seen loading several items into a vehicle on the premises. The suspect was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary. No one was inside the house at the time of the incident. Although Kardashian and her children are not currently living in the home while it undergoes extensive renovations, there were still cars parked at the property. The investigation remains ongoing, and the suspect’s name has not yet been released by law enforcement.
Additional details regarding the break-in were reported by TMZ, citing a source who claimed a man broke into the residence, took several items, and took a staff member’s car for a joyride. A security guard allegedly witnessed the activity and alerted the police. Deputies arrived at the scene and arrested the alleged perpetrator, identified as a 27-year-old man, on suspicion of burglary.
However, sources close to Kardashian disputed key elements of that narrative.
According to those sources, the suspect never actually gained entry inside the home, and Kardashian currently does not have any of her personal belongings stored at the house during the ongoing renovations.
Prior to the incident occurring over the weekend, Kardashian had posted a series of photos on Instagram, which included several public displays of affection alongside her boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton.
