Margaret Qualley’s representatives are setting the record straight.
After news broke that the actress and Grammy-winning producer Jack Antonoff had separated, rumors surrounding the end of their marriage quickly began circulating online. Reports and social media speculation suggested that trust issues and infidelity may have contributed to the split, prompting Qualley’s team to issue a firm public response denying those claims.
In a statement first provided to People and later shared with JustJared.com, the actress’s representative pushed back against the growing narrative.
“The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship,” the representative said.
The statement continued by emphasizing that the couple’s relationship remains rooted in mutual respect despite their decision to separate.
“They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy.”
The response arrived at the heels of multiple outlets confirming that Qualley, 31, and Antonoff, 42, had gone their separate ways after nearly five years together.
Fans had already begun speculating that something had changed after Qualley was noticeably absent from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebrations earlier this month.
Observant followers also pointed out that several photos featuring Antonoff had disappeared from Qualley’s Instagram account, further fueling online discussion.
While neither Qualley nor Antonoff has personally commented on the separation, the representative’s statement makes it clear that reports suggesting betrayal or cheating are inaccurate.
Their relationship first became public in 2021 after the pair were photographed together in New York.
Within months, they had become one of Hollywood’s favorite couples, making their official public debut in 2022 while supporting Qualley’s acclaimed Netflix series Maid.
Their engagement followed later that year.
In August 2023, they married during a star-studded ceremony on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, attended by friends including Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Zoë Kravitz, Cara Delevingne and Channing Tatum.
