Miley Cyrus has officially reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard album charts.
The Grammy-winning superstar’s 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking her first album to top the tally in more than 10 years. According to Luminate data compiled by Billboard, Cyrus launched the project with 61,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States for the tracking week ending September 24. Her previous release to reach the chart’s summit was her seminal 2013 pop effort, Bangerz.
The race for the top spot turned into a tight multi-genre battle on the charts this week, with Cyrus narrowly edging out country stars Ella Langley and Riley Green. Langley’s long-running album Dandelion held firm at nearly 61,000 equivalent album units in its 24th week on the chart, while Green’s new effort, That’s Just Me, opened at No. 3 with 60,000 equivalent units.
The competitive top tier of the Billboard 200 featured a mix of pop staples, country heavyweights, and hip-hop stars. Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem held the No. 4 spot with 58,000 units, while Olivia Rodrigo’s You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love placed at No. 5 with 55,000 units.
Rounding out the top 10 were Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide at No. 6 (46,000 units), Beabadoobee’s Pylon at No. 7 (35,000 units), Jhené Aiko’s Westside Whimsy at No. 8 (35,000 units), Drake’s Iceman at No. 9 (nearly 35,000 units), and Kahan’s catalog favorite Stick Season holding strong at No. 10 with 34,000 units.
Cyrus’ historic chart milestone highlights her enduring longevity in pop music, proving that her sonic evolutions continue to resonate powerfully with audiences over two decades into her career.
