Millie Bobby Brown has stepped into a brand-new role—motherhood!
The 21-year-old Stranger Things actress and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 23, revealed that they have officially adopted a baby girl, making their little family complete.
Millie shared the exciting news with fans through a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, where she wrote, “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.” The sweet note ended with the words, “And then there were three,” signed by both Millie and Jake.
The couple has chosen to keep many details private, including their daughter’s name and exact birth date, but the announcement still had fans flooding the comments with congratulatory messages.
This step into parenthood isn’t entirely surprising—Millie has been open about her desire to start a family from a young age. Earlier this year, during a candid conversation on the Smartless podcast in March 2025, she shared, “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
She added that Jake was fully aware of her dreams. “Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally. It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing,” she explained.
Millie also expressed that her vision for family goes beyond biology. “I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting,” she said. “My home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we kind of stand by, Jake and I, is our energy in the house is the door is always open, and we want everyone to feel really comfortable.”
Their romance began publicly in 2021, and after two years of dating, the pair got engaged in 2023. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2024, with Jake’s famous father, rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, present for the occasion.
The adoption news marks yet another exciting chapter in their journey together, and fans are thrilled to see the young couple stepping confidently into this new phase.
