Nicholas Braun, the Emmy-nominated actor best known for playing awkward fan favorite Cousin Greg on Succession, is facing legal trouble.

The 37-year-old star was arrested over the holiday weekend in Moultonborough, a small town in Carroll County, New Hampshire. According to officials, Braun was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI Impairment and Operating Without Lights on Saturday, August 30.

The arrest came after local police reportedly observed traffic violations. He was quickly processed but released within the hour on his own recognizance, meaning he didn’t have to post bail. However, Braun is required to return to court later this month, as reported by TMZ.

In a surprising twist, the arrest did not produce a mugshot—something that typically makes its way online within hours of a celebrity arrest. According to local authorities, the police department’s camera system wasn’t functioning at the time, leaving no booking photo on record.

As of now, Braun has not released a statement, nor have his representatives commented on the situation. His arraignment is officially scheduled for September 16, where he will face the charges in court.

The timing comes as Braun’s career has remained steady following the end of Succession, the critically acclaimed HBO drama that wrapped in 2023. His portrayal of Cousin Greg earned him widespread recognition, as well as a devoted fan base who embraced his character’s awkward humor and surprising influence in the cutthroat world of the Roy family.
