Olivia Rodrigo is definitely multitalented!
In an interview with Vogue while getting ready for the 2022 Met Gala, the 19-year-old three-time Grammy Winner has revealed that she has a cool hidden talent — she has “minor synesthesia.
Olivia shared of her fascinating skill:
“I also have a minor, baby synesthesia, so when I listen to songs I’ll see colors.”
Synesthesia is a condition where when one sense is activated, a second, unrelated sense is likewise activated.
The singer went on to share that a lot of the tracks on her debut album SOUR have a purple tint to them:
“Lots of the songs on SOUR are purple. ‘Driver’s License’ is purple, but ‘Good 4 U’ is like a purple-blue.
‘Jealousy, Jealousy’ is a bright red, ‘Deja Vu’ is like orange and pink and light purple. I like having purple as the cohesive color throughout my whole SOUR era.”
