Paul Mescal is known for keeping his private life low-key, but he recently gave fans a rare glimpse into his relationship with singer Gracie Abrams.
The 29-year-old Gladiator II star appeared in a new Rolling Stone cover story, where he was asked about going public with Abrams, 26. The two first sparked romance rumors in June 2024, and by November of that year, they made their red carpet debut. Earlier this year, they even took things Instagram official.
Still, when it comes to sharing details, Mescal is careful.
“I don’t know how to answer that,” he said when asked about the timing of their decision to go public.
“I actually do have an answer, but everything to do with that is deeply precious to me and I don’t want to…this isn’t…I don’t really…umm…I want to protect those things fundamentally.”
It’s a classic Mescal move—giving just enough to confirm what fans already know, while making it clear that some parts of his life are off-limits. For now, it seems the actor is balancing blockbuster projects with a new chapter in his personal life, and he’s determined to keep what matters most safe.
