The Saturday Night Live alum, 32, and model Elsie Hewitt, 29, welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, in December. “We always knew that was the one we were going to come back to, because it was the most meaningful. It’s also so cute,” Elsie said.

The name honors his late father, Scott Davidson, a New York City firefighter who was killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks when Pete was just seven years old. Scott Davidson was known as “Scottie” among friends, making the name a living tribute to a father Pete has frequently spoken about with reverence and vulnerability throughout his career.

“She was conceived in Scotland,” Pete added.

“My middle name is Rose, and both of my sisters’ middle names are also Rose, because my mom’s maiden name had Rose in it. So I wanted to have a little special part of them in her name, too,” she explained.
