Ryan Reynolds never misses a chance to bring humor to a situation—even when it’s about his wife, Blake Lively’s, ongoing legal battle. The couple made their first public appearance together since Lively’s dispute with It Ends With Usdirector Justin Baldoni began, and Reynolds took a playful jab at the situation during SNL 50: The Anniversary Special.
During a segment where SNL icons Tina Fey and Amy Poehler opened the floor for audience questions, Reynolds raised his hand.
“Tina, how’s it going?” he asked, feigning innocence.
“Ryan Reynolds, how’s it going?” Fey responded.
With perfect comedic timing, Reynolds shot back: “Great! Why, what have you heard?” sending the audience into laughter.
The moment served as a joking nod to Lively’s ongoing lawsuit against Baldoni, whom she has accused of sexual harassment. Baldoni has countered with defamation and extortion claims.
Despite the legal drama, Reynolds and Lively appeared relaxed and united throughout the night.
