Following news that investors have filed a securities fraud lawsuit against mental health startup Wondermind Global, Selena Gomez is taking a firm stand to defend her name, reputation, and integrity.
The lawsuit, filed by investment entities Wondermind SRS 44 LLC and Bespoke Wondermind LLC, targets Wondermind Global, Gomez, her mother Mandy Teefey, and former business partner Daniella Pierson. The plaintiffs claim they invested over $1 million based on false representations regarding the platform’s infrastructure and growth potential, alleging that the company suffered severe internal mismanagement that was kept hidden from financial backers until a September 2025 media report.
Gomez’s renowned litigator, Mathew S. Rosengart, released an uncompromising official statement making it crystal clear that the actress will not tolerate false allegations:
“The allegations that Selena Gomez engaged in any way whatsoever in any purported ‘fraud’ or other wrongdoing are completely meritless, both factually and legally. We will vigorously defend these false allegations and indeed are filing a motion to dismiss the baseless claims against her.”
The legal dispute centers on claims that investors were misled by promotional appearances and that Gomez distanced herself from the company amid internal friction. However, Gomez’s team is preparing to take swift legal action to dismiss the claims entirely, emphasizing that the allegations against the Only Murders in the Building star are legally and factually groundless.
Teefey previously pushed back against reports surrounding the company’s internal operations, calling claims made by former personnel unfair distortions of reality. As Gomez’s legal team moves forward with their motion to dismiss, the multi-hyphenate star remains focused on her acclaimed creative projects and her ongoing commitment to authentic mental health advocacy.
