Fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty are getting the ending they hoped for—a feature film. Prime Video has confirmed a movie adaptation with creator Jenny Han writing and directing the next chapter of Belly and Conrad’s love story.

“There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due,” Jenny shared. “I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans.”

Stars Lola Tung and Christopher Briney are expected to return as Belly and Conrad.

Amazon MGM Studios execs Courtenay Valenti and Vernon Sanders praised the series’ impact: “The Summer I Turned Pretty has struck a chord with audiences everywhere, creating moments of joy, nostalgia, and connection that have made it a global sensation. We’re proud of the series’ extraordinary success and couldn’t be more excited to partner again with Jenny Han to bring fans an unforgettable next chapter.”

While plot details remain under wraps, Variety reports the film will pick up where Season 3 leaves off. That means more Cousins Beach, more Fisher family drama, and the next stage in Belly’s emotional journey.

For viewers who have grown with the series, this movie promises the big-screen finale fans have been dreaming of.
