Emma Roberts has responded to that rumor about her former Scream Queens co-star Lea Michele!
In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, a caller sent in a question to Emma about Lea. The said caller asked what Emma thought of Lea’s performance in Funny Girl on Broadway — and this led to an exchange between Andy and Emma about the biggest misconception about Lea too!
When asked about Lea’s Funny Girl performance, Emma said:
“I saw her in Funny Girl and I was crying at the end. I’m just so happy for her.
She’s so down-to-earth and so talented and she just deserves everything she’s getting with the Funny Girl praise and I couldn’t be happier [for her].”
Andy then interjected, stating that the biggest misconception is that Lea can’t read. As many may know, there has been a long-standing rumor that the Glee actress cannot read.
After he said this, Emma appeared to be taken aback — and her response has since gone viral. Here’s what she said:
“Well… I mean… We’ve not been in a book club together!”
