Tom Hanks was visibly upset and irate after a mob of fans caused his wife Rita Wilson to lose her balance and trip while on the streets of New York City.
In the incident, which was caught on video, the 65-year-old actor was captured screaming at the aggressive crowd of fans when Rita lost her footing. The video has since gone viral on the internet.
In the video footage, a group of autograph seekers can be seen following Tom and Rita as they departed a restaurant in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday evening (June 15). They seemed to get too close to Rita, who then appeared to lose her balance and trip. She screamed “Stop it.”
After his wife almost got hurt, Tom is then filmed screaming at the aggressors:
“That is my wife, back the f-ck off.”
He went on to shout:
“Knocking over my wife!”
The mob then seemed to apologize to the Hollywood power couple.
