Nick Carter isn’t holding back when it comes to refuting the allegations of sexual assault made against him by a fan back in 2022. The Backstreet Boys singer, now 44, is vehemently denying the claims brought forth by Shannon Ruth, asserting that her accusations are “factually impossible.”

In response to the lawsuit filed by Shannon, Nick’s legal team has launched a vigorous defense, challenging the credibility of her narrative. Court documents recently filed in Nevada seek a summary judgment, arguing that there is evidence contradicting Shannon’s account, making it implausible for her and Nick to have had the interaction she described. Nick’s camp declared that Shannon’s story is “factually impossible.”

Shannon alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Nick in 2001 when she was 17, after attending a Backstreet Boys concert. However, Nick’s legal defense asserts that the logistics of the situation don’t align with Shannon’s claims. They contend that the band swiftly departed from the venue after the show, providing no opportunity for the encounter Shannon described.

According to sources, witnesses observed Nick exiting the venue and promptly leaving aboard his tour bus, casting doubt on Shannon’s version of events. Nick’s legal team has also brought up Melissa Schuman’s previous allegations against him, insinuating that Shannon’s claims may have been influenced or coached by Melissa and her father Jerome Schuman.

Nick’s countersuit against Melissa, alleging defamation, highlights the complexity of the legal battle surrounding these accusations. His team argues that there is insufficient evidence to support Shannon’s claims and maintains that Nick did not commit the acts she described.

In response to Nick’s motion for summary judgment, Shannon’s lawyer emphasized her intention to present her side of the story. Despite Nick’s efforts to discredit her claims, Shannon remains resolute in her pursuit of justice. “Ms. Ruth disagrees with much of the information that is contained in Mr. Carter’s motion for summary judgment. She looks forward to being able to express her side of the story in her opposition.”

This legal saga is not the first time Nick has faced allegations of sexual assault. In August 2023, he was sued by a third woman, prompting another denial from his legal team. The ongoing legal proceedings underscore the seriousness of the allegations and the complexity of navigating the legal system in such cases.
