It’s been a while since we’ve gotten new music from the Jonas Brothers – but we will be hearing one brother belting out a tune really soon.
Nick Jonas has been teasing an upcoming new single for a few weeks, and over the weekend, he officially announced that his new track, “Spaceman,” is dropping on Thursday (February 25).
Following his announcement, his brother Joe went on Instagram to hilariously troll him by acting all shocked and upset.
“Wait, wtf?” Joe wrote on a photo of his TV showing Nick on Good Morning America talking about the song.
But, before anyone panics, Joe followed up his IG Story with a cheeky photo of himself, writing, “Just kidding! Can’t wait for Spaceman! Let’s get it!”
The hilarious trolling seems to poke fun at the JoBros’ history, referencing how Nick initiated their original breakup and going solo. The Jonas Brothers have since reunited, dropped an album and gone on tour.
However, with the lack of new Jonas Brothers music in recent months, some Jonas Brothers fans were upset about Nick‘s new solo project. But, hey, it’s all cool with Joe, so everyone can chill as well. Besides, Nick and Joe have previously talked about working on their own solo projects even after the JoBros brought the band back together.
Joe is actually currently in Georgia filming the upcoming war movie Devotion.
As for Nick, it looks like he’s got a pretty packed schedule ahead – he’ll be releasing his single on Thursday, and making his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live this weekend, where he will also double as the episode’s musical guest to perform his new track. Then, he’s got The Voice premiere coming up as well as the release of his new movie Chaos Walking.
