Offset surprised wife Cardi B with some pretty epic birthday gifts!
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper turned 29 on Monday (October 11), and celebrated the occasion with a lavish Carribean dancehall-themed party attended by a star-studded guest list that included Lizzo, Taraji P. Henson, Snoop Dogg, Winnie Harlow, and more.
Ahead of the celebrations, Offset began showering Cardi with expensive gifts – including a playboy-themed diamond necklace by Eliantte, diamond bracelets and watches, and a fuzzy pink slipper to match his leopard print ones.
But the gifts didn’t stop there. During Cardi’s birthday bash, Offset revealed another surprise he had in store for the birthday girl.
“I bought you a house in DR,” Offset said in video captured that night. “Yessir that’s how we comin. Pool in the roof.”
Cardi shared a virtual tour of her new hillside digs in the Dominican Republic on Instagram, which offered scenic tropical and ocean views.
The island home boasts six bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, a separate studio, as well as an infinity-edge pool on the rooftop. The home is designed with modern minimalist interiors and is surrounded by glass doors and walls for a seamless indoor/outdoor living. Another pool is located in the ground floor. There’s also an indoor spa.
Cardi also shared the story of how her new vacation home came to be.
“For a hot minute now I’ve been telling Set that I really want to invest in short term home rental properties in the DR [Dominican Republic] and other Caribbean countries (since people vacation all year around in those locations), but I felt like he didn’t agree with me and would rather put money into other investments,” she shared.
“Well, I was wrong 🥳. I just can’t believe this 🥺! This was sooo amazing to me,” Cardi continued. “For one, I’m so happy that you were actually really listening to me and not just smiling and nodding your head so I could stop talkin to you about it 😂. Two, you don’t think my investment ideas are wack 😩 and three, I love that you asked my dad to work with you on this.”
“You and my dad (and the 🤱🏽) are the most important men in my life and it makes me so happy that you guys are close and have your own bond and relationship,” she went on, and jokingly added, “I ♥️♥️ you so much and I can’t wait for this hangover to go away so I can show you my full appreciation 😈😈”
Cardi and Offset tied the knot in 2017 and are parents to two children – three-year-old daughter Kulture and a newborn son, whom they welcomed last month.
Offset also celebrated his wife’s special day with a sweet tribute on Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday Mrs. Cephus I love you so much I value you so much u giving me 2 great life’s great energy you have my back when anybody goes against me since the day I met you I loved you!! Great mother hard working hustler you never settle you’re funny and encouraging Thank God for you 🙏🏾”
