Olivia Jade Giannulli is now very, very cautious when it comes to “cancel culture.”

Her parents Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli were right in the middle of the huge college admissions scandal, which blew up and affected their entire family. Olivia, who built a massive following on social media, was affected as well, getting “canceled” for what her family did.

Now, the 22-year-old Dancing With The Stars contestant is opening up about the experience, and how she is now afraid of being “canceled again” for saying what may be deemed as the wrong thing.

On her new podcast Conversations With Olivia Jade, she admitted that the whole scandal is something she dreads talking about:

“I’m so hesitant to talk about it because of the trauma… of like, ‘Gosh, if I say this or it comes off kinda the wrong way, am I gonna get canceled again?’

It really does leave an impression in one’s mind.”

She went on to delve deeper into how she now has become extra cautious when she speaks. Olivia shared:

“I get so nervous, and I feel like I walk on eggshells when I talk, just because I don’t wanna say the wrong thing. And I wanna make it clear to people listening that I’m not trying to victimize myself.”

She said she’s realized that she’s become an entirely different person now because of what she went through, “and not entirely in a good way sometimes” because she is now “way harder on myself.” She revealed:

“I’m so scared of looking up my name and something bad is happening and I;m the face of it and it’s going to be this big thing that blows up in my face again… people who have experienced it, even if it’s in a different capacity, it’s like you live your life a little bit differently, in my opinion, and you just kind of shut down.”

Olivia then spoke about how it’s all weighed on her, what people have said:

“You kinda start to believe what people are telling you: You don’t deserve a second chance, there’s no room for growth. Not to sound super dark, but how do you bounce back then?

Because I wanna be alive, I still wanna grow up..,. it’s like, ‘don’t exist anymore.’”
