Singer-songwriter Sheyda is belting out melodies from Nashville – and her powerhouse voice is catching the ears of listeners everywhere.
Born Sheyda Fassari, the California native moved to Music City to delve deeper into her passion for performing, studying vocal performance at Belmont University – until she discovered she had vocal nodules that could only be removed surgically.
Not one to give up on her musical dreams, she decided to pursue a different path: a double major in songwriting and business.
“I felt like I had lost my voice and my body. But, during my first songwriting class, I started to find my way back to music,” she shares. “The rest fell into place and I was able to go from writing lyrics to singing again.”
Sheyda is fast making a name for herself in the music scene. Digging deep into her experiences and surrounding, her music is filled with honest, emotive lyrics brought to life by her larger-than-life voice.

Opening up about the inspiration behind the track, Sheyda tells POPSTAR!, “A couple years ago I was dating a guy, who was handsome, nice, funny; seemingly perfect. Ultimately, though, we went out with a group of friends and I saw a whole new side of him.”
“He was negative and rude and in an instant, all the butterflies I had felt for him, went away,” she explains, adding, “I wished that I wanted him because from the outside he seemed like the perfect match, but deep down he didn’t have any of the characteristics that I wanted in a partner so we went our separate ways.”

Earlier this year, Sheyda made a splash with debut single “The Dragon” – a deeply personal track about the struggle of addiction.
“I was walking into a writing session when I had to help organize getting someone I love into rehab,” she shares about the track.
