Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have pretty much stayed under the radar since stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family and moving to North America – but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been busy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly made a surprise appearance at a different event in Miami, Florida earlier this month. Sources say that couple Harry and Meghan were at a JP Morgan gathering in Miami, Florida, on Thursday (February 6), per Entertainment Tonight. Harry was a speaker at the event (but he wasn’t the keynote speaker). Meghan was also there, but didn’t speak at the gathering.
Sources also told the outlet that Harry and Meghan made a visit to Stanford University last week and brainstormed with professors for their new charitable organization, which they previously mentioned in their announcement that they were stepping back from the Royal Family back in January.
“This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity,” the statement read. “We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties.”
Prince Harry is also reportedly in talks with Goldman Sachs to be featured as a guest speaker for the company’s new interview series, Talks at GS. And Meghan has made surprise appearances at various women’s organizations within the last months as well.
It sure looks like these two have been uber busy. But the thing is, there have been no public sightings of the royal couple together on North American soil!
Until last Friday (Fenruary 14), that is.
Prince Harry and Meghan were finally photographed together as they stepped off a commercial flight in Victoria, Canada (Archie wasn’t with them though). The royal couple was all smiles as they exited the aircraft – and were even carrying their own bags, to boot!
It’s looking like the Sussexes are here to stay in North America – they’re reportedly shutting down the Buckingham Palace office. According to ET, the staff has been given their notices, with some (those who have been with them for years) given the option to stay on in other roles in the household.
