Kick off the weekend with a big dose of joy and laughter – ‘coz our hilarious furry and feathered friends are taking over spring like it’s nobody’s business but theirs.

Messy mutts, cheeky cats, baby bunnies, stylish chicks (a.k.a. baby chickens), and more are coming together to bring you all-new crazy shenanigans and cuteness overload on the World’s Funniest Animals: Spring Fling special this Friday, April 30, 8 PM ET/PT on The CW.

Host Elizabeth Stanton and the rest of the WFA gang are all looking forward to filling your Friday night with fun and laughter. According to Liz, “The spring special has a lot of really funny clips we haven’t shown before! We have a lot of baby animals and who doesn’t just melt over a baby animal video!”

Audiences will also get to meet some unusual celebrity pets. Masters Of Illusion and Saved By The Bell star Ed Alonzo will be making a special appearance along with his pet duck, Bob, and pooches, Mr. Diddles, Mrs. Beans and Mrs. Poots.

And, of course, there are our uber adorbs WFA mascots Hank and Ruby.

Here’s a little secret: The fun doesn’t just happen onscreen – there’s behind-the-scenes shenanigans, too! “I love working with Hank and Ruby but working with animals can definitely be a challenge. Hank doesn’t like to sit still for long, and Ruby has a very short attention span…” Liz, who also happens to be our mascots’ fur-mom, shares.

Luckily, our awesome host has a few tricks up her sleeve. “We have to reward them with treats when they’re being good.”

But having them on set just makes it so much more fun. “It’s been a great experience!” Liz says. “I’ve always been a big animal lover so getting to watch animal videos and play with my dogs all day is so much fun and the best job I could ask for.”

Tune in to World’s Funniest Animals on The CW this Friday, April 30, at 8PM ET/PT for the spring fling you definitely won’t want to miss!

“I know any time I want to relax, or I’m feeling stressed, watching funny animal videos online has always cheered me up,” Liz shares. “I know everyone has had a stressful year and I hope this show brings them the amount of joy and laughter it does for myself.“

So, head into the weekend with a smile on your face. Don’t miss the World’s Funniest Animals: Spring Fling special this Friday, April 30, 8 PM ET/PT on The CW.
