Rami Malek has a pretty relaxed approach when it comes to conversing with royalty.

The Oscar-winning actor is no stranger to rubbing elbows with other high-profile personalities, including members of the Royal Family. In fact, he’s already met Prince William and Duchess Kate on at least two occasions – at the BAFTAs and, more recently, at the premiere of the James Bond film No Time To Die at the Royal Albert Hall in London last week.

Of course, there are all probably some royal protocols of what and what not to do that they were probably briefed about beforehand, but beyond that, how exactly does one chit-chat with members of the British monarchy?

According to Rami, conversation flows pretty easily with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

“I remember we were at the BAFTAS, and I met them and they have a lot of questions to ask you,” he shared with Entertainment Tonight ahead of the premiere.

But he also tries to put them at ease with some normal everyday questions.

“But it is nice to just say, ‘How are you doing? How are you dealing with all of this? I know you just had kids, one kid, specifically,’ so just try to be normal because they live a very unusual life, I imagine,” he continued.

Rami, who’s been likewise living a life under the spotlight, also shares an insightful explanation to his approach.

“For me, I just try to treat them like I would anybody else,” he said. “I’m sure a dose of normality is probably something that is quite refreshing to them.”

The world premiere of the upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England on Tuesday (September 28) was a star-studded affair, with the film’s cast including Rami, Daniel Craig , Lea Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, as well as writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and director Cary Joji Fukunaga all in attendance. Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Charles, and Camilla Parker-Bowles also made an appearance.

Billie Elish and brother Finneas, who wrote and performed the film’s title track which won Best Song Written For Visual Media at the 2020 GRAMMYs, were also there and were snapped animatedly talking to and shaking hands with Prince William, Kate, and Prince Charles.
